Chair Lift to be installed in El Cadillal, Tucumán

El Cadillal, Tucuman – Argentina

In it’s plan to draw tourism to the beautiful area north of the San Miguel de Tucumán, the government of the province has begun work installing a ski lift to the top of cerro Médici.  Heavy rains delayed plans this summer but work has now resumed and the seven poles are already in place.

When complete the chair lift will run 600 meters to the peak, where a restaurant is being built.  The lift will have a capacity of 450 passengers per hour.

During the 1970′s a similar system operated in the area.

Help support the fight for “free” beer in Mexico

Even if you have never been to Mexico, chances are you have had a Mexican beer at least once in your life.  While names like Corona, Dos Equis and Sol may be the most popular, Pacifico, Negra Modelo, and Tecate are also exported to the US and Europe.   And while these lagers are great when its hot out, they don’t exactly have a lot of body or flavor.

The lack of variety in Mexican beers may be due to the fact that 98% of its beer is made by two companies. And in Mexico the its no better as most bars there have contracts with one of the “big two” microbreweries have trouble getting their product known.
