Panama

Perhaps best know for its canal, Panama has been on a winning streak since it regained control of it at the turn of millennium.  From the ever changing skyline of Panama city to the development of communities on the Pacific coast, nobody can argue that things haven’t improved.

But the government isn’t done yet.  A massive expansion to the Panama canal will allow for the passage of vessels over twice the tonnage of those that make the trip today.  And plans to build an “airport city” near the capital,  complete with hotels and a convention center have recently be unveiled.

Orientation: It is important to remember that the isthmus of Panamá runs from East to West and not North to South.
